Academia Operations Specialist, Contract (India)

MongoDB is seeking an Academia Operations Specialist to provide customer support and manage day-to-day operations of the rapidly growing Academia program. The MongoDB for Academia program drives adoption of MongoDB in higher education institutions and enhances educational outreach through organizational partnerships. The team is dedicated to helping educators and students embrace MongoDB by providing compelling program benefits, content, and engagement opportunities. 

In this position, you’ll play a key role in scaling the program globally and ensuring students and educators have a fantastic experience.

This role can be based out of our Gurugram, India office or remote. 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide operational support and manage end-to-end operations of the MongoDB for Academia program 
  • Manage inbound applications and communications with educators and students (email and phone)
  • Conduct outreach to educators and educational institutions
  • Proactively monitor systems and platforms used to support students and educators
  • Regularly monitor and report on Academia program statistics and learner progress to internal stakeholders and partner organizations 
  • Provide administrative support for content syndication efforts
  • Oversee Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with partner institutions and maintain trackers
  • Maintain procedural documentation
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience providing operational support 
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with deans and faculty for top Computer Science, Engineering and Business programs at University and college levels
  • Experience taking initiative and owning end-to-end deliverables 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with excellent organizational skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Presentation and communication skills
Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with MongoDB or non-relational databases
  • Experience with Zendesk, Airtable, Jira, or Google Suite
  • Experience identifying opportunities for, and implementing, process improvements and automation
  • Experience working in an academic or online learning environment is not required, but interest in this field will make the role more enjoyable

Contract term: June 2024 - January 31st, 2025
