About us:

We’re here to make money work for everyone and we're doing things differently. For too long, banking has been obtuse, complex and opaque.

We want to change that and build a bank with everyone, for everyone. Our amazing community suggests features, test the app and give us constant feedback so we can build something everyone loves.

We're focused on solving problems, rather than selling financial products. We want to make the world a better place and change people's lives through Monzo.

About our Vulnerability, Accessibility, Inclusion and Bereavements Team:

This role will sit within the Vulnerability, Accessibility, Inclusion and Bereavements Team within Customer Operations.

As Accessibility & Inclusion Manager, you will be a subject matter expert, responsible for planning and implementing our existing customer accessibility and inclusion strategy at Monzo, driving awareness and understanding and helping business areas embed considerations of accessibility & inclusion - making sure we consider the needs of all customers.

You will assess our current product and customer service offering against legal, regulatory and industry standards for accessibility and inclusion, and use the insights to drive improvements across the business.

What you’ll be working on:

  • Planning and implementing our customer accessibility and inclusion strategy across all areas of Monzo
  • Supporting the implementation of a financial inclusion and education strategy

  • Carrying out regular gap analysis and creating roadmaps to ensure we are compliant with various legal, regulatory and industry standards
  • Curating knowledge, and facilitating accessibility training
  • Approving and feeding back on change proposals that require specialist input

In addition to the above, you will attend committee meetings across Operations and Product to make sure accessibility and inclusion is considered.

You should apply if:

  • You have expert accessibility knowledge  - identifying and reducing barriers that might prevent people from interacting with products and services
  • You have experience in designing, developing and implementing accessibility strategy at scale and in digital journeys
  • You have experience leading accessibility initiatives, and you’re able to advocate appropriate solutions to complex accessibility problems
  • You have a solid technical understanding of accessibility and understand the technical expectations and limitations around assistive technology
  • You have experience implementing governance and assurance systems to ensure accessibility is built into all projects and change lifecycles
  • You have experience in and knowledge of the legal, regulatory and industry standards that surround accessibility & inclusion (eg. Equality Act 2010, New Consumer Duty, WCAG and The European Accessibility Act 2025)
  • You're excited about what we're doing here at Monzo
