Account Development Representative, UK&I

The inbound specialist is responsible for triaging warm inquiries to MongoDB, qualifying them for the sales team or redirecting them to the proper support channels. This role is a blend of sales and customer service, and can be a launchpad into a career in tech sales, marketing, customer success, or support.

Our SDRs will gain international experience and an understanding of our product, who we sell to, why they care, what makes us relevant and how we best support our community. They learn how to generate a pipeline quickly and effectively as well as how to achieve a good discovery and qualification along with aligning with the proper support channels. The team is a crucial resource for sales and customer success teams across MongoDB and is seen as the talent pipeline by multiple areas of the business. This helps us scale our teams, as well as ensure that we have a culture of meritocracy.
This role is a hybrid working model in our Dublin or Barcelona offices.
Day to Day- Respond to inbound inquiries via website chat, phone, and contact us forms
- Serve as the first point of contact, uncovering and qualifying new opportunities and establishing support needs
- A mind for technology - we’ll teach you about MongoDB and databases, but our customers and product are inherently technical and you should have an aptitude and curiosity to learn about those concepts
- Collaborating with marketing and marketing ops to ensure timely and effective follow up to inbound leads
- To be successful in this role and to be able to achieve your goals, you’ll need a talent and drive for finding new businesses, triaging support queries and developing strong relationships, both internally and externally, quickly
- Ability to speak to a wide variety of customers on the phone as well as delivering meaningful outreach sequences to establish contact
- Understanding of the multiple business units to redirect queries in a customer centric manner
- Self-motivated, with a team player mentality, you’re passionate about your work, eager to learn and motivated to develop a career in sales or customer success
- Previous experience in a chat support or online customer interaction environment preferable
- You have excellent listening, verbal and written skills (English), an additional language profeciency is a plus
- Strong process mindset and organization skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Strong communication skills dealing with high volume of leads and communicating and following up with multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency in using chat platforms, CRM systems, and other relevant software applications is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing customer needs and priorities

- Passionate about cutting-edge technology with the aptitude to learn new and exciting IT software products, as well as, understand business critical solutions quickly
- Strong and progressive academic background: Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Business or any related field
- Proven track record of success in sales or business development or customer facing roles in a target driven environment, ideally in the tech industry
- Familiarity with database, web server, and open source technology
- Working experience with Salesforce.com
