Job Description: 

We are seeking an Account Director – Central Europe at KONUX. You will focus on the state-owned railway infrastructure managers in this region, with DB being the key focus. You will be responsible for evangelizing the concept of transforming railway operations to C-level executives and convincing all relevant decision-makers in your customer organization. Also, you shape contracts, create and ensure budget allocation, and win large contracts. As the ideal candidate, you have strong experience winning contracts in national tendering processes. In this position, you will be part of our Global Sales team and report to the Chief Executive Officer. You will be based in our headquarters in Munich.

Your Impact:

  • Manage the customer organization to design and win large framework contracts.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with C-level executives and all relevant decision-makers and influencers, ensuring the advantages of KONUX solutions are fully comprehended and supported, especially in the pre-tender phase.
  • Define, lead and execute the account strategy, ensuring long-term success by advising leaders on all levels of customer’s organization on solving their needs with KONUX solutions.
  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of customers’ future business challenges and suggest customer-centric use cases through KONUX solutions.
  • Lead tendering of sales opportunities, negotiate and close deals
  • Work closely with KONUX teams in a cross-collaborative setup to ensure project success and expansion of the account
  • Enable and support your team members to reach their full potential individually by mentoring and training them, creating a space with opportunities for personal and professional growth, and building high-performance
  • Actively engage in team dynamics and projects, proactively conducting one-on-one and team meetings for updates, sharing relevant information, and providing advice to drive progress. Possesses strong motivational skills, excels as a great listener, and maintains a solution-oriented mindset.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:

  • 10+ years of experience in selling technological solutions and products in development to railway companies in the target market or in other national-level government tendering industries such as defense, aerospace, oil & gas, or renewables.
  • Familiarity with the railway infrastructure industry, national tender processes relevant for state-owned organizations, along with solid knowledge of client budgeting and purchasing processes
  • Driven by a strategic perspective and out-of-the-box thinking, rather than following predefined processes and bringing fresh perspectives to an industry that must break away from traditional thinking and acting.
  • Extensive knowledge of customer pain points and ability to propose meaningful solutions to customers
  • Seeking ultimate responsibility for your account’s success and persistently doing what it takes to ensure it
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in German & English language.
