We’re looking for an Account Executive, New Business to help us develop and close new business with small to medium sized business customers. You will work in a fast paced sales environment selling Hootsuite solutions to prospective customers. You will work with our inbound lead generation teams as well as prospect and generate outbound leads, helping our prospective customers choose Hootsuite as their Social Media Management partner.

This is a hybrid role and is open to applicants located within commuting distance of Hootsuite's Vancouver Office. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Sales. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Successfully acquire new small and medium sized business customers in order to achieve individual quota targets. Respond and action internal leads while also prospecting and generating your own external leads. 
  • Provide customer value from the prospecting stage all the way to completion of sale. Prepare, organize and structure your sales processes throughout the end to end sales cycle
  • Partner with customers to understand the product fit and recommend and sellHootsuite solutions that align with their needs and overall goals on social.
  • Deliver product presentations and demos to potential customers and prospects, demonstrating Hootsuite’s products and how it can align to their strategic goals.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders such as solutions consultants, professional services and customer success as needed throughout the sales cycle; manage, track and report sales activities and results through Salesforce, Sales Navigator and 6Sense
  • Facilitate a warm handoff to the implementation and customer teams following the close of the initial customer sale to ensure a smooth customer transition and onboarding.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Some relevant B2B sales experience OR lead generation/business development representative experience (experience in software considered an asset); proven ability to achieve or exceed assigned quotas. 
  • Ability to focus on client business value, return on investment, and customer solutions (not features-focused selling).
  • Experience crafting sales plans for your vertical/territory and building/executing on your account/territory plans.
  • Open Communication: clearly conveys thoughts, both written and verbally, listening attentively and asking questions for clarification and understanding.

Variable Pay. You will be eligible to participate in Hootsuite’s Sales Compensation Program. Please speak with your recruiter for more information.

Note. The base salary of our Sales Compensation Program is an absolute value instead of a range and therefore, you will see that reflected below. 

Canada Pay Range For This Role$60,000—$60,000 CAD
