The U.K. & Ireland are our domestic and most mature markets. Functions include commercial, operations and marketing, and teams in the UK&I partner closely with global functions such as product, technology and consumer to deliver results for our customers.

We are looking for an Account Manager to join our UKI Grocery Team. This is a great opportunity to become a critical member in one of the fastest growing divisions at Deliveroo.

The Role

As an Account Manager, you will manage the portfolio of Grocery SMB partners including a number of our top Specialist partners. You will be the day-to-day contact between them and Deliveroo, communicating their needs to internal teams, helping to grow and shape the SMB portfolio on the Deliveroo marketplace and developing the ‘best in class’ value proposition for our customers. 

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Driving “brilliant basics” on a day-to-day basis to maximise the customer experience
    • Monitor and analyse the performance of the portfolio’s operational metrics and lead operational performance routines with key partners
    • Review operating practices in sites and identify sets of recommendations that improve operational efficiencies for the portfolio
    • Work closely with internal teams, building tools and guidance to drive best in class Grocery SMB selection, ensuring we are offering quality selection on the platform 
  • Generate mutual growth by sustainably increasing Order Volume and Average Basket size  
    • Lead the on-boarding of new sites onto the Deliveroo platform, identifying selection gaps and working cross functionally with Sales teams to target key SMB partners at scale
    • Conduct analytical deep-dives to identify value opportunities by understanding customer behaviour and benchmarking partner performance vs peers 
    • Ensure that we are developing an attractive value proposition for customers, including selection, promotions, pricing and service levels across our SMB portfolio.
    • Work with marketing counterparts to design, deliver and evaluate marketing campaigns that drive value for the partner
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams in London and Manchester to develop tools and best practices in order to support and grow our Grocery SMB partners, ensuring we have the best selection of local grocery favourites on the platform
  • Drive the strategic agenda with your partners in line with Deliveroo’s wider grocery strategy in collaboration with senior leaders of your restaurant partners and Deliveroo

The candidate:

  • Prior experience in an account management or commercial role. Experience in, or working with, online or offline grocery retail or hospitality is preferable.
  • Confident in managing a large portfolio of accounts, building tools and resources to manage partner relationships effectively at scale
  • Partner obsessed, with effective relationship building, organisation and communication skills whether face to face, or through video, phone or email. 
  • Confident working with and analysing data - able to cut through the noise to understand what performance improvements will help grow your portfolio, in order to make clear and actionable recommendations. 
  • Able to create ideas and strategies to drive growth of our joint business with our partners, with a willingness to trial at pace.
  • Collaborative team player who is able to get the best out of the people around you. Able to work effectively with all levels of Deliveroo.
