About the role.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a London-based sales professional who is ambitious, performance-oriented, and will excel in growing our Beauty and Personal Care client portfolio in Spain. 

This is truly an exciting opportunity for a high-performing salesperson, experienced in consultative solution-based selling to work with the world’s leading and fastest growing brands in FMCG (beauty, food & beverage, home &  personal care) on a daily basis, as they uncover growth through the access and application of Mintel’s world-leading marketing intelligence - expert data and analysis of what consumers want, and why.

 

What you will be doing:

You will identify and qualify new inbound sales opportunities as well as your own efforts to develop outreach strategies to generate pipeline and target new clients within the FMCG space, mainly across the Beauty and Personal Care categories.

Most of your time will be spent positioning the value of Mintel with stakeholders through demos, email and phone. There’s a reason we call you a trusted advisor-- this is less about the hard sell and more about having the product knowledge, passion and people skills to help the company make the best decision for their market intelligence needs.

You will work with prospects through the entire buying process, from initial evaluation to close, and be the primary point of contact until post-sale where you will hand off to our account management and client success team.

 

Who we are looking for:

You must be brilliant at opening doors and generating meetings from a cold start. Multi-channel prospecting via sales enablement platforms will be a big part of your daily activity – you will be expected to build and maintain your own pipeline.

You must be highly self-motivated as well as a terrific presenter and communicator, comfortable negotiating, creating urgency, and holding tension with senior stakeholders. You should be an exceptional listener with the ability to ask the right questions.

Enthusiasm, drive and positivity should all be characteristics you cherish and display. You should also be people-smart, displaying the emotional intelligence to put yourself ‘in other people’s shoes’.

Continuous learning and self-development must be exciting to you. You will be expected to challenge your assumptions, put yourself outside of your comfort zone, make mistakes and learn from them. You must be ready to embrace new technologies, processes, and techniques as we continue to modernise our sales approach.

Attention to detail and adeptness for the routine reporting which comes with enterprise sales are vital. You will be expected to have an in-depth knowledge of your own sales metrics and ratios and accurately report back to the business using a structured forecast methodology.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 + years proven sales experience at the executive level
  • Proven success in achieving sales goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Fluent in English and Native in Spanish. (written and verbal) 
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Professional and consultative selling style, with an instinct to negotiate.
  • Clean driving license and happy to travel for 50% of the month
