About Payoneer

Founded in 2005, Payoneer is the global financial platform that removes friction from doing business across borders, with a mission to connect the world’s underserved businesses to a rising global economy. We’re a community with over 2,500 colleagues all over the world, working to serve customers, and partners in over 190 markets.

By taking the complexity out of the financial workflows–including everything from global payments and compliance, to multi-currency and workforce management, to providing working capital and business intelligence–we give businesses the tools they need to work efficiently worldwide and grow with confidence.

We are seeking a high-impact Account Operations Manager to join our Strategic Accounts pod and support a portfolio of high-value e-commerce marketplace partners. By owning the operational backbone of these relationships, the Account Operations Manager will free our Account Executive to focus on commercial growth while keeping sellers paid, partners delighted, and platform launches on track.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with marketplace operations, seller payouts, or e-commerce platform support and is a proactive problem-solver who collaborates daily with Product, Risk, Compliance, Engineering, and counterparts at Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, Mercado Libre (and beyond) to deliver seamless cross-border payout experiences.

This role will be based in our New York, NY office.

What you’ll do:

  • Operational Execution – Own day-to-day payout operations for assigned marketplaces, ensuring SLA compliance, on-time seller settlements, and accurate reconciliation.
  • Issue Resolution & Escalation Management – Serve as the first line of defense for operational concerns (e.g., Prime Day or 11.11 spikes), leading cross-functional war rooms to resolve delays, processing errors, or regulatory blockers.
  • Performance Monitoring – Track KPIs such as payout-success rate, latency, GMV, and seller churn signals. Build dashboards and use data to recommend improvements or upsell ideas to the Account Executive.
  • Process Optimization – Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, and Engineering to automate KYC document flows, streamline reconciliation, and eliminate manual touchpoints—applying Lean/Six Sigma or Agile techniques when possible.
  • Client Relationship Support – Provide operational health reports and insights for QBRs; translate wins into co-marketing, geo-expansion, or promo opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination – Work with Professional Services to troubleshoot API/integration issues, support new feature rollouts, and ensure our capabilities stay ahead of marketplace policy changes (e.g., DAC7, INFORM Act).

Who you are:

  • 3–5 years in marketplace, SaaS, or payments operations—supporting e-commerce sellers or similar high-volume transactional environments.
  • Proven expertise managing complex, high-value accounts while meeting SLAs and resolving escalations under pressure.
  • Data-driven mindset: advanced Excel/Sheets; comfortable with SQL or BI tools to uncover trends and root causes.
  • Cross-functional collaborator able to influence Product, Risk, Compliance, and Engineering without formal authority.
  • Track record of process improvement/automation that reduced cycle times or costs.
  • Strong understanding of seller-payout compliance (KYC/AML, VAT/OSS, DAC7) and marketplace policy nuances.
  • Executive-level communication skills—capable of framing technical concepts for both external partners and internal leadership.

 What we offer:

  • Outstanding discounted medical, dental, and vision insurance (HSA and FSA)
  • 401K with employer match
  • Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
  • Fitness/Wellness reimbursement
  • Generous PTO, paid holidays, and parental leave
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Flexible work from home schedule
  • Volunteer activities
  • Fun office culture with supportive leadership
