Account Representative | CNET Group
The Partnership team at CNET Group, a part of Red Ventures, challenges traditional partnership structures every day, with programs and opportunities that converge brand and performance marketing. We're looking to grow our team with an Account Representative (Partnership Rep) who will help us enhance our sales strategy and build relationships with top tier clients / agency partners to position CNET/ZDNET as a thought leader and go-to advertising partner/publisher in the space.
You'll join our portfolio of Media & Commerce businesses - CNET and ZDNet - and you'll have the opportunity to create our new messaging for potential partners and build relationships from the ground up with the support of a talented integrated marketing team and an operations/support team.
This will be a hybrid role with in-office expectations on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week out of our NYC office.
What You'll Do:
- Manage your own book of business and sales quota, particularly focused on growing new partners and cultivating existing business across all key industry verticals.
- Develop account and client strategies for long-term development and revenue growth
- Generate new sales leads
- Act as a business specialist on behalf of your clients - strategically developing digital and mixed media solutions to suit their objective
- Establish and foster relationships with clients by conducting a high volume of face-to-face calls and meetings with agencies and clients
- Prioritize and lead to ensure proper account management both internally and externally
- Establish oneself as a thought leader within the digital community and evangelize Red Venture’s unique positioning within the marketplace
- Ability to stay ahead of the curve on marketplace trends relating to their clients as well as the digital industry
What We're Looking For:
- Sales professional with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a team, goal oriented environment
- 2+ years of proven advertising sales experience with at least 4 years in the interactive/digital space; experience working with B2B/B2C Tech is preferred
- Cultivate and leverage deep client relationships across all categories
- Full knowledge of the digital space – programmatic, sponsorships, social, custom, you’ve mastered it all!
- Have a strong desire to win and grow as digital ad sales professional
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Well-developed presentation skills
- Ability to manage stress well, and juggle multiple account challenges at once
- BS/BA degree, or equivalent training and experience
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Compensation
- Total Cash Compensation Range: $95,000-$140,000
- The above range is comprised of a base + target sales incentive. It is all-inclusive.
- Note: salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
