The US Revenue Assurance Team seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in revenue accounting and be able to contribute immediately. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Revenue Assurance Manager and collaborate closely with other revenue accountants and cross-functional partners. Responsibilities will include contract review, project management, and Month-End Close activities.
What you’ll do:
- Work closely with Sales Coordinators daily to approve Insertion Orders, Contract review, help lead OTC projects. Prepare monthly deferred journal entries. Align with the global RA team new processes, projects, and issues that might arise
- Help lead in Pinterest’s OTC process, including reviewing and approving insertion orders, contract review, ensuring data integrity between SFDC, Ads Manager, and Oracle
- Help with the monthly revenue close processes, including preparing deferred revenue entries, revenue reporting, and reconciliations
- Satisfy all quarterly and annual audit requirements for our external auditors
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements for revenue accounting and improve controls where necessary
- Assist in system testing related to process enhancement and automation to further streamline revenue tasks and shorten revenue close calendar
- Troubleshoot system issues with Engineering
- Partner with legal and sales cross-functional teams to build an efficient end to end OTC workflow
- Support Sales Requests
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field, CPA preferred
- 4-6 years experience in accounting, with a Big 4 firm combined with industry experience preferred
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition guidance (ASC 606)
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience analyzing high volume, multi-currency transactions in a global business environment
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Experience with Oracle, Salesforce.com, Datahub/SQL, and Blackline
- Strong project management, organization skills, detail oriented
- Ability to express yourself clearly, both written and verbally
- Ability to identify, design and implement internal controls and best practices
- Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast paced, hyper growth environment
