Job Title: Accountant- Accounts Payable

The Challenge

Main responsibility is to contribute exceptional accounting and administrative services in a timely manner, and to exceed counterparty expectations. The role covers various responsibilities over various business operations / entities located in Asia. This will be a 6 Months full time contract role.

 

What You’ll Take On

  • Accounts Payable function which includes:
    • Processing of staff expense claims across various Asia entities, whilst ensuring adherence to local statutory requirements and Company’s policies & guidelines;
    • Processing supplier invoices for certain Asia entities and payments in Accounts Payable module;
    • Resolution of invoice and expense claims discrepancies with various counterparties;
    • Prepare and submit payments for Accounts Payable for review, approval and release;
    • Prepare analysis of accounts, including aged report analysis;
    • Monitor accounts to ensure payments and reconciliations are up to date;
    • Perform monthend reconciliations and collation of AP documentation for monthend review and sign off.
  • Support General Ledger and Finance related administration functions which includes: 
    • Responsible for preparation and journal processing of AP and Expense Accruals for month end close 
    • Cashbook processing - including postings, applicable monthend revaluations and reconciliations;
    • Assist in month end closing across various tasks when relevant;
    • Assist in preparation of weekly cash flow projection for each entity;
  • Other ad-hoc accounting related duties and assignments as required

What You Bring

  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum 3 years related work experience, preferably with multinational company experience 
  • Proficient in data entry management with high volume
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards accounting software is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Concur expense processing software is an advantage
  • Proficient in Mandarin (both oral and written) is an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player
