THE ROLE

Join our Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) organization as an Accounting Intern to drive the next phase of our global finance transformation. You will be a key contributor to the "Core Finance" ERP implementation initiative, partnering with Accounting and FP&A teams to streamline month-end processes and implement cutting-edge automation. This is a high-impact opportunity to move beyond administrative tasks and gain hands-on experience in month-end close  within a fast-paced corporate environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Drive Finance Modernization: Contribute directly to the Core Finance ERP implementation project by supporting process improvements and automation initiatives that increase the efficiency of our global financial operations.
  • Support Month-End Excellence: Support the Accounting teams to execute monthly closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in our financial reporting.
  • Deliver Actionable Data Analysis: Compile and analyze financial data sets to provide the accounting team with the insights needed for critical decision-making and ad hoc financial projects.
  • Enhance Operational Foundations: Build foundational expertise in core accounting operations and cross-functional financial analysis, while meeting rigorous deadlines in a professional setting.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Academic Foundation in Finance: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field with a strong interest in finance process improvement and automation.
  • Analytical Rigor: Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, combined with the ability to leverage AI-assisted tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) to enhance financial analysis, identify patterns, and synthesize insights—while maintaining accuracy, data integrity, and strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally, ask thoughtful questions, and proactively solve problems.
  • Operational Agility: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The hourly pay range is:$30—$35 USD
