As our Accounting Lead, you’ll take full ownership of our end-to-end accounting processes, from bringing bookkeeping in-house to ensuring we stay compliant across Germany and our international markets.

You’ll be a key finance partner in a fast-growing company, laying the foundations for scalable, efficient accounting operations. • Own our end-to-end accounting operations, from preparatory bookkeeping and general ledger to accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including consolidated reports, ensuring clarity and compliance
• Lead the full in-house transition of our bookkeeping, taking full responsibility for all monthly and year-end closings
• Manage VAT and income tax declarations and make sure we meet all regulatory requirements in Germany and beyond
• Continuously improve how we do accounting, from evaluating tools to implementing smarter, more scalable processes
• Be the go-to person for external partners like tax advisors, auditors, and (for now) external bookkeepers ensuring smooth and transparent collaboration

Core Ingredients:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting, ideally in a dynamic or fast-paced environment
• Solid knowledge of German GAAP and tax regulations, especially VAT and income tax
• A proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership
• Strong attention to detail, paired with great organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable working in an international environment and collaborating across functions and borders
• Full professional fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
