Accounting Manager

Position Overview:The Manager is a member of the corporate accounting team and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting, financial close, and reporting activities of the Company’s subsidiary entities. The role supervises and develops accounting staff, performs detailed reviews of deliverables, strengthens processes and controls, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to support accurate and timely reporting.
Essential Job Functions:The position requires a positive, detail-oriented, proactive, and team-oriented individual. Specific duties include:
- Manage the monthly financial statement close and related accounting activities for subsidiary entities
- Review monthly financial statements, journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with cash management
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reporting, and related documentation and follow-up processes
- Review long-term investment entries, capital call wires, and reconciliations to capital account balances
- Assist with quarterly reviews and the annual audit process for subsidiary entities, including coordination of supporting documentation and responses
- Ensure subsidiary entities comply with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable reporting requirements
- Maintain local statutory books and timely filings with regulators, coordinating with local service providers as needed
- Partner with the U.S. accounting team and other subsidiaries to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and intercompany matters are resolved timely
- Supervise and develop accounting staff; establish clear priorities and review standards
- Identify and implement process improvements, including opportunities to leverage technology and strengthen controls
- Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other duties as needed
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- At least five years of progressive professional accounting experience, including experience reviewing work and leading accounting processes
- Prior supervisory or people-management experience preferred
- Prior public accounting experience preferred (Big 4 or Large Regional)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting concepts
- Experience with international entities, statutory reporting and/or foreign currency translation a plus
- Familiarity with investment partnership accounting and/or reporting a plus
- Highly proficient in using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
- NetSuite general ledger experience a plus
Salary Range: $115,000 - $120,000
The salary range is an estimate of pay for this position. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience. The salary range does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
