Wayfair’s Finance group is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our dynamic financial reporting team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work across various areas of accounting and finance, with a strong focus on general ledger accounting. The financial reporting team is responsible for the preparation of our financial statements and ensures compliance with US GAAP and statutory accounting and reporting. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Support the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is complete, accurate, and timely 
  • Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations
  • Support strengthening of financial processes and controls 
  • Review monthly reconciliations for US GAAP and statutory financial reporting 
  • Drive projects that support company initiatives 
  • Provide accounting and financial analysis to senior management and other stakeholders as necessary 
  • Bring an analytical mindset to current processes and drive forward continuous improvement 
  • Participate in local, regional and global projects, as required 
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes in all the different jurisdictions Wayfair operates in 
  • Assist with audit facilitation and coordination 

Qualifications: 

  • We’re looking for somebody ambitious to adapt and grow in their career, who can collaborate effectively with their immediate team and our wider Finance organisation 
  • Qualification in Accounting 2+ years post qualification experience in a similar role related to accounting, reporting or audit required
  • Experience in international accounting and reporting requirements in compliance with US GAAP 
  • Thorough understanding of financial control requirements, such as SOX 404 requirements
  • Experience of accounting and reporting requirements under Irish GAAP FRS 102
  • Experience in Regulatory Reporting 
  • Experience in managing direct reports 
  • Change agent who consistently challenges the status quo and drives improvements to processes, controls and systems
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills; fluent in English, written and verbal
