You will be part of a high performing team and quickly gain a well-rounded view of how the company operates from within a function that needs to understand and interact with all aspects of the business.   You’ll report directly to our Management Accountant but collaborate with lots of different teams across Butternut. • Use your analytical brain to dive into data and provide meaningful, clear commentary.
  • Get hands-on experience with all parts of the reporting process — from stock and payroll to journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and investor updates.
  • Be tasked with improving processes and supporting with our scaling efforts.
  • Own day-to-day finance tasks such as payments, expense claim management and bank reconciliations.
  • Support the wider Finance team with key projects and other ad-hoc tasks– for example: Audits, VAT returns and international expansion readiness.

  • You’re proactive, organised, and bring a keen eye for detail to everything you do.
  • You're curious about AI and the impact it will have on Finance in the months and years to come - you're the type of person who will engage with the technology and try to apply it to improve your productivity.
  • Eager to study towards AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification.
  • Accounting experience within the workplace (nice to have, but not a dealbreaker)
