Accounts Receivable Operations Specialist

Lyft is looking for an organized, motivated, and detail oriented AR Operations Specialist. This role is critical in executing the daily responsibilities of our Accounts Receivable team.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing to customers, including submitting invoices through portals as needed
  • Ensure accurate and timely application of customer payments 
  • Investigate unapplied payments to ensure payments are applied correctly
  • Provide excellent customer service by conducting detailed transactional research, obtaining resolution, and effectively communicating with internal business partners or customers in a timely manner
  • Monitor AR inbox and ensure accurate and timely response to customer inquiries, including:
    • Requests for invoice copies
    • Requests for reporting back up for invoices
    • Requests for credit notes
    • Outstanding balances on account
    • Changes of contact information such as primary billing contact
    • Confirming banking details 
    • Completing vendor forms
  • Responsible for collection efforts and maintenance of a reduced DSO
  • Prepare and maintain various reports related to AR, including maintaining the deferred revenue schedule
  • Assist in maintenance of an accurate AR aging report
  • Assist with month end close responsibilities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Complete or support other projects as necessary
Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in high volume cash application, accounts receivables or other areas of accounting
  • Accounting system experience (Oracle Fusion, Sage, Genius or similar ERP)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude and reliable
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities, including report writing, requirements gathering and system knowledge
  • Change oriented with continuous improvement process skills
  • Flexibility and comfort with continuous change, willingness to take on challenges, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Bilingual (English and French)

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
