About the Team:

The Revenue Accounting team at UserTesting owns the ultimate responsibility for revenue, accounts receivable, and other associated account balances to be properly stated on the Company’s financial statements. The team reviews contracts both before and after signature to ensure compliance with UserTesting policy as well as US GAAP. The team is also focused on ensuring our processes are able to support the growing company and scale with the business needs. 

The Opportunity:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will team with the Revenue Director at UserTesting to be responsible for the following:  

  • Perform daily billing and assist with cash application
  • Ensure an extremely high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Primary contact for customer collections and maintaining the overall status of outstanding invoices
  • Research and resolve disputed receivables, double billings, short pays, etc.
  • Prepare and enter adjustments as necessary to ensure proper accounting treatment
  • Work with internal resources to develop action plans for delinquencies and other customer account issues.
  • Assist in preparation and review of accounts receivable aging report and customer support to ensure all invoices are paid and past due receivables are investigated.
  • Assist in preparation of Bad Debt analysis and Accounts Receivable reconciliation during month end close.
  • Participate and help prepare A/R aging report to review with Operations team on a monthly basis.
  • Identifying, suggesting, and aiding in implementing improvements to Accounts Receivable reporting and close processes, systems and overall efficiency

This position works closely with other functions within UserTesting (Sales Operations, Legal, Revenue Operations, Finance, Professional Services, Enterprise Systems, Customer Success) 

 

What we are looking for:

  • Solid collections experience 
  • Technology or SaaS background a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred   
  • Proficiency with MS Office, advanced skills in Excel required
  • System experience, Salesforce and/or Netsuite will be ideal
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills  
  • Extremely well-organized, detail-oriented, and team player
  • Proactive “doer” who identifies potential “gaps” and ensures they are resolved prior to issues arising   
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to be flexible and effectively work with others as a team.  
  • Service oriented with the ability to adapt and respond to different types of requests and deadlines
  • Track record for flexibility and urgency in prioritizing and organizing projects
  • Strong work ethic.
