This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract

Why Mozilla?

Mozilla Corporation is the non-profit-backed technology company behind pioneering brands like Firefox, the privacy-minded web browser, and Pocket, the content discovery platform. More than 270 million people around the world use its products each month.

We’re looking for an organized and capable Account Manager with an Ad Operations background to help manage our ads business across Mozilla’s entire platform, while delivering excellent customer service to our brands and partners.

On the Mozilla Ad Operations team, you’ll work directly with our Sales, Editorial, and Product Teams to manage and improve our advertising operations. You will be responsible for setting up and managing ad campaigns across our platform, and owning those campaigns from start to finish. You’ll also be the primary point person for all client inquiries, making recommendations on all aspects of the ad campaign. This includes modifying copy, pacing, targeting parameters, and analyzing ongoing campaign performance to make each campaign perform at its best during the entire time it runs across Mozilla.

You will work closely with the Sales team to see campaigns from planning to launch and be solely responsible for activation and post campaign activities. Our clients rely on the judgment of our Account Managers, and this role is crucial to the success of long-term client relationships and Mozilla’s ultimate revenue goals.

Come work with us and make a big impact.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage post-sales ad delivery and program operations
    • Manage ad trafficking and campaign optimization for direct sold media campaigns
    • Develop campaign performance reports for media campaigns
    • Check daily reports and provide troubleshooting support for issues relating to campaign spend, performance, and creatives - collaborating with third-party vendors when necessary
    • Provide outstanding customer service through professional and attentive support to all internal and external client inquiries, including making recommendations on how to change ad copy, targeting, or pacing to set up the campaign to meet client-specific KPIs
    • Internally, you will also provide recommendations to the product team on how to evolve the design of ads in Pocket and features to build in our ad-serving technology stack based on your synthesis of client feedback.
    • Join or lead campaign kick-off and check-in calls to establish campaign details and success metrics, and to discuss ongoing performance and optimization
  • Work with our tight-knit, collaborative team on RFPs by checking inventory and advising sellers on how to position Mozilla and create compelling campaign proposals
  • Review and approve brands and assets that will run on Mozilla surfaces, working closely with the Editorial team to make sure we are adhering to our content guidelines

What you already have:

  • 2-4 years of related work experience in client services, ad operations or sales support roles within the digital media industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical skills - using Excel to create reports and charts shouldn’t scare you
  • Ability to understand client needs, create relevant solutions, set accurate expectations and communicate meaningful details
  • Detailed knowledge of online media planning terms and processes
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of native advertising and content marketing
  • Strong presentation development skills (PowerPoint, Keynote)
  • Dynamic, hard-working and highly organized approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter that is well organized with good attention to detail
  • Great communication skills. You should be able to clearly communicate with clients to get them the information they need on a timely basis
  • Experience working with ad servers and direct sold ad campaigns
