The Challenge:

The Payroll Administrator will assist with administrative functions relating to Tier 1 inquiry support and payroll transactions. This role will support all North America activities and report directly to the Payroll Manager, North America.

What You’ll Take On:
  • Assist team members in day-to-day data collection, preparation, and export of pay data files (Audit Reports, pay slips and Year End Statements) in accordance with the timelines outlined in the production scheduled.
  • Assist with payroll/tax/audit research and respond to critical issues in a timely manner.
  • Work with internal departments in troubleshooting payroll related inquiries.
  • Create ad hoc reports for Accounting, Tax, Payroll, and other departments as requested using Workday.
  • Prepare off-cycle payment via direct deposits as necessary.
  • Assist with validating employee records such as terminations, address changes, work location changes.
  • Set up direct deposit and tax withholding forms in the payroll system.
  • Apply garnishments to employee's payroll deductions and distribute employee copies.
  • Prepare pre and post audit reports each pay cycle for HR Partners to review and approve.
  • Enter employee timesheet reconciliation into payroll system.
  • Assist in any additional payroll tasks as needed.
What You Bring:
  • Minimum of 2-4 years payroll experience, working in high volume environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Payroll accounting theory, principles, practices, and applications.
  • Workday: HCM, Payroll, Time and Attendance and Absence Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate Excel knowledge (i.e., pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
  • Strong team player, with the ability to work cooperatively with individuals at all levels.
  • Possesses strong technical and analytical skills and can deal well with complexity and abstraction.
  • Handles multiple and concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
  • Makes decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines.
  • Capable of being well organized and command strong planning skills.
  • Professionalism, interpersonal and the ability to work with various personalities.
  • A self-starting creative thinker with analytical skills and ability to recommend solutions to complex issues.
  • Strong ability to work independently and with remote teams.

The pay range for this position in New York City at the start of employment is expected to be between $24.33 - $34.54 per hour. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
