About the role

The ADR Writer transforms provided English translations of Japanese scripts into adapted spoken-word English scripts. Reporting to the Manager, ADR Writing you will work with Directors, Producers, and other members of the Production Department to help produce English dubs our fans will love.

  • You will adapt two standard 23-minute episodes per week
  • You will work with supervisors and ADR directors, providing revisions and quality scripts
  • You will research assigned properties
  • You will create distinct character voices, match animated mouth-flaps, and uphold our creative standards
  • You will incorporate feedback promptly
  • You will have daily communications with Directors, Producers, and other members of the Production team

About You

We get excited about candidates, like you, because...

  • 2+ years experience in the anime dubbing industry or with ADR script adaptation
  • You have experience with synchronization of lines with lip flaps
  • You're able to focus and sculpt language, technically and creatively, to cater to the preferences of our fans
  • You excel in creative environments, and have an open-minded approach to the flexibility of the dubbing process as the team explores ways to deliver the dubs beloved by our fans
  • You have a high degree of fluency in Microsoft Word
