If you’re excited to work directly with a small team supporting day-to-day operations at a rapidly growing tech company, we want you to join as our Advanced Maintenance Technician.

The Job:

  • Keep our Headquarters buildings humming to enable our Formlings to do their best work!
  • Able to perform/or assist with the execution of building repairs between two Somerville headquarters buildings including:
    • Door and wall repairs
    • Painting
    • Sheetrock patching
    • HVAC maintenance
    • Support of operations of building equipment. 
  • Make recommendations to help business with on equipment on site
  • Manage vendors as needed
  • Work independently, as well as with a team.
  • Work with Security & Safety to keep the building and any vendors on site safe and secure

You:

  • Have proven experience using hand and power tools
  • Can manage a group of third party vendors who come on site regularly
  • Have knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC to be able to identify issues and call in vendors when needed, or the ability to repair if needed. 
  • Able to manage scoped projects on your own from start to finish, identifying root cause of issue and plan to address. 
  • Have experience managing online work-order ticketing queues 
  • Are an effective communicator (written & verbal)
  • Must be able to climb stairs, stage equipment, and lift 50+ lbs on occasion
  • Able to complete tasks in a professional and timely manner in an office environment focusing on minimizing disruption to the business
  • Must be a team player and be able to work independently - we do our best work together!

Bonus:

  • Familiarity with machine shop environments
  • Project planning 
  • HVAC and electrical knowledge
  • Construction supervisor license  
  • OSHA 10 industrial or commercial
  • Knowledge of commercial building codes
