Aerospace Safety Engineer

Your Role and Your Team:

  • We are looking for a Safety and Reliability Engineer to join our team, and be part of this innovative, diverse, and high-performance engineering environment that will shape the future of urban e-mobility.
  • You will report directly to the Chief Safety Engineer.
  • You will become a key member of a large scale and complex project. System Safety and Reliability is a multi-disciplinary area and includes interfaces with several areas of aircraft design, such as Electronic Systems, Systems Engineering, Design Engineering, Software, Flight Dynamics, Testing, and many more. While in our team, you will be able to experience how many other areas operate and learn as both a generalist and a specialist.
  • By working side by side with our system and aircraft level design teams, you will be part of the team which ensures our aircraft design is safe and robust to fly with our future passengers and pilots.

 Your Day to Day:

  • Perform Systems Safety analyses for the Aircraft Systems, including failure hazard analyses, faut tree analyses, and other.
  • Perform Reliability analyses for Aircraft Level and System Level.
  • Integrate your analyses in the overall design of the aircraft, taking inputs and providing outputs to our internal stakeholders, as well as our suppliers and certification authorities.
  • Participate in integrated assessments with other teams. Be an integrator of small teams for your activities which involve other teams. Be part of other working groups by contributing with Safety and Reliability aspects of design.

Your Profile: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, electronic engineering, or similar.
  • Experience in control systems (electronics and/or electromechanical) is nice to have.
  • Previous Aerospace experience
  • Knowledge of fault trees and failure modes is desirable.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential.
  • Knowledge and experience in Office package tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Result-oriented, taking ownership and driving solutions by integrating information from other people.
  • Analytic problem-solving skills required. Ability to understand and model complex systems.
  • High level of self-reliance with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.
