What is the key purpose of an Agency Development Manager?
As an Agency Development Manager in our Los Angeles office, working on our Brands & Agencies team, you will pave the path for Taboola’s sales and partnership efforts with Big 6 agency holding companies and large Tier 2 media agencies in the West region. You will uncover, develop, and sign RFP’s and agency-wide trading agreements with holding companies and/or their subsidiaries, with support from our Sales, Account Management, Product, Finance, and Legal teams.
What skills and qualifications do I need?
For this role it is essential that you have:
- 5-10+ years of advertising agency experience (either from within an agency or from working closely with agencies)
- A deep rolodex of senior agency leaders and investment leads at the major holding companies and independent agencies across the designated region
- Vast knowledge of the ad tech industry landscape and experience working on programmatic campaigns
- Proven track record of obtaining and closing large $100k+ RFPs, video newfronts and/or agency trading deals
- Outstanding persuasive communication and presentation skills, with strong ability to communicate complex solutions to a range of audiences
- A passion for hunting for new business with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
What will I be doing on a day-to-day basis?
As an Agency Development Manager, you will:
- Educate agency contacts at all levels (e.g., media buyers, planners, directors, supervisors) on Taboola’s offering
- Successfully create key partnerships at holding agencies to influence and motivate advertisers’ business strategies
- Drive RFP activity and win new client business
- Develop agency trading agreements
- Collaborate with Yahoo GAP team, Taboola SPT, internal sales teams, to execute against RFP’s and trading deals.
- Effectively communicate the media needs of Holding Companies and Independent Agencies to internal Taboola teams including product, marketing, programmatic and operations to help shape the Taboola investment in innovation to drive the Brand and Agency business.
