The Community You Will Join: 

The AirCover team is charged with ideating, building, launching, and managing the AirCover business inside of Airbnb. We have a huge responsibility to our community of Hosts and guests to be there when things don’t go exactly as planned with their reservations. We have a lot of work to do in the coming years and we are looking for someone who will help us manage all of the things that need to be done to deliver best-in-class services to our community. 

The Difference You Will Make:

This role will assist in the management of partnerships for the AirCover business and develop new relationships that will define our future.

• Assume partial responsibility for, and proactively manage the stable of relationships the AirCover team has developed with Insurers in the United States
• Develop a new roster of Insurance partnerships with a focus on delivering unique and valuable protection offerings that attract and retain Hosts on the Airbnb platform
• Keep an ear to the ground for new protections that would matter to our Host and guest community, develop relationships with those providers, secure advantageous terms for Airbnb, and sell the offer internally

• Highly attentive to detail and obsessed with finding and sharing new ways to optimize the work our team does
• Patient and methodical with external relationships while displaying a firm hand to deliver the best for Airbnb and our community
• Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to rock tumble internally and externally to produce refined concepts worthy of an association with Airbnb
• Dedicated to giving back to your peers in the form of best practices, and willing to mentor more junior individuals in the organization
• Able to identify the root cause of a problem, prioritize how urgent/important it is, structure the key elements, and exercise sound judgment in solving it
• Have a willingness to hustle and get your hands dirty and decisive when the situation calls for it

Your Expertise:

• Demonstrated experience of standing up and managing large, cross functional relationships
• Ability to proactively develop relationships with a wide range of internal and external partners (e.g. Legal, Treasury, Support, Policy, Finance, etc)
• Experience developing protection / insurance offerings for a two sided marketplace
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and comfortable with speaking to C-Suite executives
• Fluent in Spanish (verbal and written) or Portuguese a plus

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
