Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Junior Data Governance Analyst with a focus on Security Master Data to join our team. The ideal candidate will have some experience or academic background in finance, data management, or information technology. This role will involve supporting the management and enhancement of our security master data processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and contributing to the firm's investment strategies through high-quality data management.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Security Master Data Management: Contribute to the management and maintenance of security master data, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Private Markets Knowledge: Utilise your foundational knowledge of private markets, particularly private debt, to support the enhancement of security master data quality.
  • Data Governance Support: Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for security master data.
  • Data Quality Monitoring: Help in developing and implementing metrics and KPIs to monitor data quality and perform regular audits to ensure data accuracy.
  • Issue Resolution: Work with senior team members to identify and resolve data quality issues, assisting in proactive prevention of future occurrences.
  • Project Assistance: Contribute to projects related to data governance, security master data enhancements.
  • Reporting: Assist in producing reports on data governance activities, data quality, and project progress for internal use.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • University Degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, or financial data analysis.
  • Experience in Private markets, particularly private debt, is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of data governance principles, practices, and frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and take initiative in a supportive role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with data management tools and systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit EDM, S&P CapIQ) is a plus but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, and other data analysis tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated, with a desire to grow and develop within the field of data governance and security master data management.
  • Interest in global financial markets.
