Lincoln International’s Tech M&A team is looking for a first-class Analyst with relevant experience in sell side transactions, ideally private equity led, and an interest in Tech M&A. We are a truly global team of over 150 Tech bankers across three continents, and part of a global investment banking organization with over 1,000 professionals across 15 countries. You would be based in Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt, or London.

Duties & Responsibilities:

We do Tech M&A only, and focus on transactions in the areas of Software, IT Services & Solutions, and Data & AI. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work in an international, supportive, team-oriented environment. In addition to beginning to master the financial analysis and research skills typical for the position, an Analyst at Lincoln International learns about and becomes involved in a transaction from start to finish.

You will work in the team to support with the origination and execution of transactions typically reporting to an Associate or Vice President including:

  • Assist in the preparation of client presentations ("pitches");
  • Research public company and transaction multiples to support valuation of companies;
  • Supporting the drafting of information memoranda;
  • Collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to provide actionable insights;
  • Building operating and financial models from scratch;
  • Conducting industry research: collect information on target companies, market analysis, competitive position; and
  • Provide administrative support including meeting agendas, meeting notes and management of deal Q&A.

Qualifications:

  • You have at least one full year working experience in an investment bank or boutique M&A firm;
  • You have solid financial knowledge (accounting, financial analysis, company valuation methods, etc.) and strong analytical skills, enabling you to work both autonomously and within a team;
  • Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to excellence drive you;
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage professional relationships, excellent time keeping and commitment to delivering required tasks on time; and
  • You are fluent in English and German (both written and spoken), and you are at ease with IT tools for your role.
