What you’ll do

We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to join our Marketing Analytics & Measurement team. In this pivotal role, you will help to build out our data warehouse and establish trusted sources for all of our most important Marketing data sets.  Your mandate will be to break down data silos and - together with our marketing analysts - to improve the decision velocity of the entire Marketing org with improved access to reliable, user-friendly data and reporting.  You will act as a primary interface between the Marketing and Data org and will influence the ongoing evolution of our best-in-class analytics capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to have an outsized impact in a dynamic company and a rapidly evolving web3 ecosystem.

  • Work with marketing analysts, product marketing managers and other Marketing stakeholder groups to understand their data needs and translate those into technical requirements
  • Partner closely with our MarTech team to provide subject matter expert on all our Marketing data sources including Google Analytics, Segment, HubSpot, and Sprinklr
  • Interface with the Product org and the Data Platform team to understand product data sources (e.g. event logs) for use in Marketing pipelines
  • Design, develop, and maintain fact, dimension and aggregate tables in the Marketing data mart within our data warehouse for attribution, site analytics, and other marketing use cases
  • Set up staging tables and encode transformation logic as performant SQL data models in DBT
  • Help analysts to pull data warehouse tables into Looker as views and explores for self-serve dashboarding
  • Collaborate closely with the Data Platform team on data governance, including CI/CD testing, to ensure data reliability and consistency with other trusted sources (e.g. other data marts)
  • Create and maintain documentation for all Marketing data models in YML
  • Continuously monitor and report on the costs and performance of the Marketing data mart
  • Would be great if you brought this to the role

    • Resourceful, persistent, and creative problem solver who enjoys hacking on wicked problems
    • Must have experience delivering data models in DBT for the purposes of attribution.
    • Solid understanding of dimensional data modeling and agile data warehouse design
    • Conversant in attribution, identity resolution and other core concepts from marketing analytics and site analytics
    • Mastery of SQL and prior experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g. FiveTran, Spark, Airflow, Hightouch, etc.); dbt and LookML experience highly desirable
    • Proficiency with Git and CLI (show us your repos!)
    • Demonstrated interest in on-chain data and blockchain technology (show us your Dune dashboards!)
    • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • Track record of proactively identifying and addressing challenges; ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another quantitative discipline

    The salary range for US-based candidates only will be determined throughout the interview process depending on experience and skills.
