Your mission

We are seeking a talented and motivated Application Engineer/Software Developer (m/f/d) with full-stack expertise to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing V0.1 applications and application architecture to showcase our first “UNIO Bridge” product’s network capabilities. You will work on both web and mobile application development, integrate existing applications and software, gain a deep understanding of in-vehicle systems, and interface with customer enterprise clouds. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to make a significant impact in the field of connected vehicle technologies and applications. Your challenge and key responsibilities:

  • Application Development:
    • Develop web and mobile applications to demonstrate the capabilities of the UNIO Bridge network, ensuring high performance, user-friendliness, and scalability. 
    • Design and implement the architecture for V0.1 applications, considering the long-term scalability and maintainability of the solutions.
    • Gain expertise in in-vehicle systems and develop the ability to interface with them, allowing for the creation of applications that can interact with and control vehicle functions. 
    • Interface with customer enterprise clouds, ensuring secure and efficient data transfer and communication between the UNIO Bridge network and customer systems. 
    • Perform thorough testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure the reliability and stability of the developed applications and systems. 
    • Maintain detailed documentation of application architecture, code, and system configurations for reference and future development
  • Collaborative Design:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and hardware engineers, to define and implement user-friendly and efficient applications.
  • Integration:
    • Integrate existing applications and software components into the UNIO Bridge network, ensuring seamless interoperability and data flow between systems.  
    • Work on integrating software solutions with hardware components, sensors, IoT devices, and connectivity platforms to enable seamless vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and implement testing procedures, conduct debugging, and optimize code for reliability, security, and performance.
  • Security:
    • Implement best practices for data security and privacy to protect sensitive user and vehicle data.
  • Continuous Improvement: 
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to enhance the software and systems.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus). 
  • Proven experience in full-stack application development, including web and mobile applications.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture and design principles.
  • Familiarity with integrating third-party software and APIs. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks (e.g., JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, etc.). 
  • Experience with cloud services and cloud-based development (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). 
  • Experience with database systems and data modeling. 
  • Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum). 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers to understand their requirements. 
  • Knowledge of automotive technology, IoT, or mobility solutions is a plus.
  • Fluent in English written and spoken.
