The Opportunity:
As Area manager of Strategic account management team for Korea, you will grow Agoda’s footprint in Korea by developing/implementing competitive strategies. You will lead the team of strategic account managers that manage Agoda’s business with key supply partners in the region.
Ability to set up and execute a business development plan, a high level of commercial savviness, ability to motivate & coach a team, get things done attitude and ability to develop long-term partnerships with key stakeholders will be key to your success in the role.
In this Role, you’ll get to:
- Manage a team of Strategic Account Managers who are responsible for business development with key supply partners to enable Agoda’s growth in the region
- Implement strategies with top, high-growth and emerging partners to enhance productivity and opportunities to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Conduct market research into trends in the industry to ensure the competitiveness of Agoda’s
- Coordinate with senior management on strategic planning and objectives
- Develop and own relationships with internal/external key decision makers
- Represent the company at external events and workshops to promote the Agoda brand and products
- Identify performance gaps, formulate action plans of the team/team members to address identified gaps, implement and monitor action plans to ensure success
What you’ll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor or equivalent degree required
- 7+ years of experience in business development, data-driven sales/planning, or consulting role in a globally operating organization
- Strong numerical & analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to successfully communicate proposals to internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to report and persuade different levels, including senior management in global locations
- Strategic thinking and planning, hands-on mentality
- Professional “get it done” attitude and work ethic
