Location:London, England, United Kingdom (Hybrid; x3 days a week onsite)
ROLE MISSION
Oliver are looking for a highly conceptual; experienced and well-established Associate Creative Director to lead and drive the creative excellence for one of our most exciting and awarded clients.
We power our client’s in-house creative studio and are responsible for most of the brand's communications activity. Over the last six years, we’ve supported our client's mission to fund and maintain its important, impactful reporting and help keep its journalism freely available to millions of readers around the world.
Key to the continued success of our client is the continued conversion of readers into paying supporters. And that challenge sits at the very heart of this role. You’ll be responsible for advertising activity across all integrated channels – taking in our client's online platform, direct mail, email, display, web, social, press and OOH.
The ideal candidate will be proficient across press, digital, video and social with a strong conceptual background encompassing brand as well as product advertising. You’ll have honed your craft across a wide range of sectors and brands – with particular depth in media or culture a plus. Your book will show notable large scale conceptual campaigns supported by solid sales-driving activity. Experience of inspiring product focused advertising would be an advantage. Your work will be beautifully crafted, regardless of channel, and you will have a track record of award wins.
You’ll be able to demonstrate a strong grasp of both brand building and direct response principles and have an entrepreneurial mindset to make the most of the opportunities that present themselves in an on-site environment.
You’ll be joining a permanent on-site team of 12 others in Kings Cross, and in this autonomous and fast-paced environment, you’ll be expected to draw upon your experience and know how to gain buy in from your team and sell work effectively to senior clients.
There will be an expectation on you to inspire and nurture the careers of the other creatives, guiding the wider creative team with hands-on brand guardianship, supporting the strategy team, as well as close client partnering.
This role can provide a pivotal step in your career, one where your skillset and personal brand will develop a great deal. You’ll also learn from Oliver’s unique inside ideas business model. And that means you’ll join only a handful of conceptual creative leaders with experience in an on-site way of working – an approach that is making the industry sit up and take notice
