THE ROLE 

Key responsibilities 

The Interim Assistant Financial Controller will support the financial reporting, external audits, working capital management, process improvements and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. 

Specific duties 

Depending on the project, you will need to be comfortable doing the following: 

  • Assist preparation of the Group consolidation and year-end financial statements
  • Assist with Financial audit schedules as required by our auditors.
  • Coordinate with the external auditors for annual audits to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
  • Support preparation of Group cash flow forecasts including weekly cash and working capital deck.
  • Manage working capital, including providing oversight of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams in the UK and India
  • Support the Group Financial Controller in ensuring that all accounting processes and procedures are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Assist Group Finance on ad hoc projects such as debt refinancing, development of comprehensive group control framework, process improvements, post finance systems implementation etc.

ABOUT YOU 

The ideal candidate will have a track-record in delivering results while embracing change and uncertainty. Excellent stakeholder management experience is essential to being successful in this role. 

The Ideal Candidate 

  • Qualified accountant with experience of working under or with a Financial Controller within a fast-moving business (or within practice at minimum Audit Senior level) working to tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of delivery and achievement within previous assignments and a strong technical accounting background with a good understanding of UK GAAP.
  • Strong practical analytical skills, with the ability to effectively interpret and summarise data.
  • Self-starter who is able to manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in implementing new systems and processes would be highly desirable.
