We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director with insatiable curiosity and boundless enthusiasm for creativity and new ideas to join a dynamic team that works across an exciting range of marketing initiatives for riders, drivers, products, and partnerships. You’ll be helping grow the Lyft brand through creative work that is timely, breakthrough, and conceptually best-in-class.You are a great collaborator, and good at building relationships to create that safe space for fun ideas to happen.

As an integral part of our in-house creative team, you’ll lead the concepting, crafting, and execution of integrated brand campaigns and cultural content. You’re experienced and tenacious at nurturing a good idea from inception through the production process. As a writer, you understand the power of words to move people—in the emotional way, and in the get-off-your-butt-and-do-stuff way. You can express complex ideas in simple, likable, straightforward language. And you know how to translate boring-sounding marketing objectives into culturally relevant and engaging brand campaigns. 

Your responsibilities will include overseeing writers and content strategists across a wide range of projects, concepting and developing breakthrough creative ideas for existing and proactive briefs, and proactively pitching ideas to create outsize impact and reach for all of Lyft’s business initiatives. 

You’ll partner with ACD art directors and designers, freelance and internal creative teams, agency partners, social teams, strategist, media teams, producers, and cross-functional project drivers to deliver best-in-class campaigns and big ideas for a dynamic range of marketing needs and objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Be a full-time champion for the brand voice and style
  • Be an idea generator, creating a range of powerful and viable creative concepts and solutions for each project and execute creative work across a multitude of communication channels
  • Present your ideas and work with clarity and passion while demonstrating how the creative strategically answers the brief.
  • Partner closely with art directors, designers, creative directors, marketers, lawyers, project managers, developers, and everyone else at Lyft
  • Educate, inspire, and delight our audience
  • Juggling—the multiple-project kind, not the circus kind
  • Valiantly defend the the Oxford comma on all fronts
Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience as a creative advertiser, working on high-functioning teams, with a proven track record of managing cross-functional relationships and delivering industry recognized creative work. 
  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates exceptional conceptual and writing skills, solid production experience, and successful integrated brand campaign work
  • Experience developing breakthrough creative concepts based on strategic marketing objectives
  • A highly collaborative and team-oriented attitude
  • Intuitive ability to flex your tone of voice depending on your message and your audience
  • Confident and persuasive presentation skills
  • Proven track record overseeing creative campaigns from briefing through launch
  • Demonstrable soft skills including creativity, empathy, adaptability, resourcefulness, openness to feedback, work ethic, and a general tendency to create and share positive vibes
  • Understanding of current cultural trends in design, music, fashion and tech
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Agency and brand side experience (not a must, but nice to have)

Lyft highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office at least 3 days per week, including on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $136,000-$170,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
