Associate Data Engineer Intake - join our CampUs program in February 2025!
Our CampUs Program is a great way to start your career in data engineering. It sets you on a learning journey with ongoing, adaptable and personalized development opportunities. The program’s development strategy provides a holistic path to growth incorporating all “3 E’s of Development”:
- Experience: On-the-job experiences working on real projects with a supportive, cross-functional team.
- Exposure: Learning by observation and seeking feedback. Mentors and buddies will guide you through the ins and outs of Culture Amp and data engineering.
- Education: Structured learning activities to strengthen your technical and core skills.
Data Engineering at Culture Amp is an inclusive practice distributed across cross-functional, lightweight Agile teams that embrace flexible work arrangements. You will be surrounded by talented engineers, learning from others, as well as sharing your knowledge with them.
This is a full-time, permanent position. As an Associate Data Engineer on one of our teams, you can expect to:
- Tackle a wide variety of technical problems across our codebases as you model data and work on data pipelines with support from your team.
- Collaborate with other engineers in your team through pair programming.
- Work with the product managers in your team to understand customer problems and help to develop, refine, and then implement solutions.
- Maintain and support the services your team is responsible for.
About you
This role could be for you if:
- You have completed a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Software Engineering (or a related STEM discipline), or finished a coding bootcamp within the last 12 months, or are in the process of completing one. The degree or bootcamp must be completed before joining the CampUs Program in February 2025.
- You are willing to learn to work across the technology stack that Culture Amp uses to organise and productionise our data - you are likely to find yourself working with tools and languages such as AWS, Redshift, DBT, SQL, Python and TypeScript but not limited to only these.
- You are a proactive and clear communicator. You value empathy and kindness and are able to articulate your ideas and feelings when writing or speaking, and are open to the perspectives others bring.
- You are self-motivated and can work independently. You take the initiative to ensure you have everything you need to work efficiently and call for support when required.
- You have a growth mindset and you are willing to embrace challenges.
- You are aligned with our values and demonstrate them through your working practice.
