The role

Reporting into the Vice President and Head of Indirect Procurement, as an Associate Director you will be responsible for leading a strategic task force for cost reduction. In close collaboration with the business leaders and the local markets, you will be responsible to lead and/or support the expansion of spend under management leading to increased savings for HelloFresh

What you'll do
  • Build and lead a cross-category cost-reduction program for 2024-2025 with senior management attention 
  • Leading a cluster-wide spend review (across 7+ markets) 
  • Use benchmarking, best practice exchange, innovative levers and standardization of indirect procurement processes to optimize for cost and process efficiency
  • Support the Team Leads to implement Category Strategy, Supplier Relationship Management and Annual Sourcing Plan, in alignment with the task force and Business needs
  • Create a task force approach and spirit within the procurement community to provide execution support to our international category managers
  • Track, report and communicate results and progress to the leadership in PRO-SCO
What you'll bring
  • 8+ years of experience in indirect procurement, or management consulting with track record leading cost reduction projects
  • An exceptional academic record with degree from top tier college or university (supply-chain or business degrees preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost optimization projects with a total cost of ownership (TCO) approach
  • Exemplary and demonstrable stakeholder management experience across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Superior analytical skills and operational modeling capabilities connected to strategic thinking
  • Progressive procurement leadership mindset 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Solid process competency in lean methods, problem solving techniques, root cause analysis, and structuring of complex improvement projects
  • Excellent command of the English language is a must. Additional languages (especially Spanish, Italian, and Dutch) are a plus
  • Interest to frequently travel abroad (travel requirement: up to 30%)
