Responsibilities

• Take on ownership of strategic food safety projects and drive improvements at a national level
• Responsible for managing SQF certification process and ensuring compliance to Meal Kit Food Safety Programs
• Monitor changes to Federal and State laws that are applicable to the company’s business
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company food safety requirements
• Lead and motivate a team of food safety managers and supervisors across all distribution centers
• Ensure all Meal Kit facilities maintain hygienic standards as outlined in our food safety program 
• Serve as the point person for handling all regulatory communications with applicable local, state and federal agencies
• Develop and implement programs to continuously enhance food safety practices
• Responsible for managing internal auditing process at all Meal Kit facilities 
• Monitor, document, and report all product finalizations to ensure compliance with HelloFresh mission statement
• Ensure all critical control points are maintained, documented and reviewed to enable the production of safe and high quality products
• Maintain a food safety first culture at all HelloFresh sites 
• Hands-on management style with warehouse workers, operations managers, and QC personnel
• Understand and enforce requirements of SQF Quality Code and ensure that all staff is aware of their responsibilities / accountability as it relates to the SQF Quality Code

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Science, Biology or other relevant subjects
• Minimum of 8 years of experience within the food industry
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a fulfillment center
• Organizational oversight with large site or multi-site business
• Strong attention to detail and data driven mindset
• Extensive knowledge of principles and applications of FSQA programs including HACCP, Sanitation
• Up-to-date knowledge on FDA & USDA guidelines
