  • The Associate Licensing Manager is responsible for the revenue growth of assigned franchises across traditional consumer products categories and is an integral team member responsible for management of the day-to-day business. The associate will support the Licensing team and become the expert on the merchandise for assigned brands. The Associate will support the development of strategic merchandise licensing programs, including line-planning and development. Additionally, the Associate will meet with partners on a regular basis, and work with Product Development to resolve any approvals issues.

    Core responsibilities:
    • Day to day management of business and licensees including
    • Support pitching and negotiating new local Licensing Programs filling category gaps
    • Responsible for collecting licensee product information, sales/POS, and other data or materials.
    • Maintain licensees lists and monitor term dates
    • Assists with industry, product, data, and market research and trends as necessary; prepares summaries to communicate findings to licensing team
    • Manage the coordination of calendars for events and some meetings; assists in event planning and sales materials
    • Ensure licensee compliance with Crunchyroll guidelines and contractual standards. 
    • Provides regular updates/reporting about the status of licensees and key issues
    • Assist with licensee communications for relevant business needs, sales and product reports
    • Communicate with partners to schedule business reviews, status calls, etc
    • Review and ensure compliance and accuracy of licensee proposal forms and oversee tracking and approvals
    • Manage information flow and assist in submission preparation for key licensors
    • Ability to explain complex concepts to achieve shared understanding and ultimately obtain approvals with licensors
    • In partnership with the Product Development team, help project manage approvals
    • Manage IP sensitive assets, approval guidelines, and delivery to partners
    • Oversee creative/concept review meetings and manage submissions processes
    • Identify and anticipate risks/issues with each program that may impact project implementation; highlight any outstanding items or challenges

    Legal Support: 

    • Track progress of contract renewals, drafts and amendments
    • Support Legal team efforts to remove unauthorized products. Manage and track counterfeit products and submit/monitor requests

    Event Planning & Tradeshows:

    • Participate and assist with the planning and attendance of annual Licensing Summits, Licensing Show, Toy Fair and other trade shows and events to ensure all events are turn-key
    • Maintain master calendars with key beats and product launch details
