The Global Payments team at HelloFresh is responsible for processing payments periodically as a subscription business, ensuring customers are able to pay seamlessly with their preferred payment method, and managing customer profitability at a company level by various retention based initiatives.
As the Associate Manager, Payments [Business Operations] at HelloFresh, you will join a cross-functional team reporting to the Manager, Payments of Global Payments. You will be working with local & global stakeholders to assist in building and managing HelloFresh’s payments strategy and execution. You will support our team with the full payments lifecycle, including processing, fraud detection & mitigation, chargeback & refund management, payments analytics, tools & systems infrastructure, innovation in invoicing and billing, and more. You will drive projects, identify business opportunities, advise senior management, and build a world-class payment infrastructure.
Lettuce share what this role will be responsible for
- Project lead initiatives with cross-functional, international teams to improve the efficiency of our payments processing platform, customer experience, and settlement reconciliation
- Develop processes and execute strategies that help improve processes on local payments
- Contribute to mid- and long-term roadmap for payments, aligned with HelloFresh OKRs
- Present analysis of daily, weekly, and monthly payments metrics (retry analysis, decline rate/reason analysis, fraud rate/reason analysis) to inform overall strategy to local stakeholders
- Understand and execute on payments infrastructure of local operations (payment runs, cut offs, etc) with ability to lead projects to optimize functions
- Manages different verticals and brands within HelloFresh portfolio
- Deeper knowledge of payments industry, e-commerce trends and payment processing within HelloFresh, to drive payments related projects that have direct impact on revenue or cost
- Assist with Payments Operations across all verticals in US and Canada
- All other duties, as assigned

At a minimum, you have...
- At least 3- 5 years of professional experience, preferably at a payments or financial services company
- Familiarity with payments-related data, an understanding of the entire payments lifecycle for credit/debit cards, PayPal, and mobile payments
- Ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
- Experience extracting and transforming data from structured databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Experience with a Data Visualization tool such as Tableau
- Strong GoogleSheets and Excel skills
