The Regulatory Operations team is situated at the heart of Lyft’s business: we develop and support vital operations core to keeping Lyft’s business in compliance. We are inherently cross-functional, working with Lyft’s Product, Engineering, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Support teams to enforce ever-changing requirements while also educating and enabling our drivers to meet those requirements.

You will be working closely with Regulatory Operations senior leadership and be responsible for building and iterating on solutions that enable our team to work more efficiently and collaboratively across the Lyft org. You will drive product and operations innovation with an eye on scalability and quality, providing insights to help the team prioritize high-impact initiatives and influence roadmaps across Product, Operations, Legal, and Marketing.

Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency in Compliance Service configurations & owning end to end configs for markets assigned, including tracking changes in shadow before production rollout
  • Strategically plan and execute new regulatory process rollouts, operational workflows, and create comprehensive products partnering with Product and Engineering
  • Develop creative solutions and plans, with stakeholder visibility and buy-in, to operationalize business and regulatory changes in a market
  • Conduct analyses of the business impacts posed by regulatory requirements and proposed changes to Lyft’s operations and product offerings
  • Collaborate on defining key success metrics and maintaining working dashboards to monitor impact and performance for ongoing programs
  • Design, build, and automate tooling and reporting to provide teams with actionable insights on regulatory compliance, efficiency, and driver experience
  • Present findings and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to guide decision-making and align on a roadmap for prioritizing opportunities
  • Communicate and translate technical nuances and impact to non technical cross functional stakeholders
  • Successfully handle shifting priorities and emerging situations
  • Basic Reader of Regulator Integrations, responsible for understanding integration scheduling and configuration in assigned markets and identifying bugs/improvements/changes as they arise
  • Test Compliance Service and Regions/Runtime changes in Beta Driver App and Staging profiles prior to production rollout
Experience:
  • 3+ years of Operations experience
  • Ability to configure services and develop reusable frameworks to ensure compliance with complex regulatory requirements and great user experience
  • Ability to craft a compelling story, use data visualization tools to provide actionable insights and concisely present recommendations across teams and levels including both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving ability with experience asking the right questions
  • Proven success balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests 
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to take initiative to set and achieve goals and deadlines
  • Good detail orientation, communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working with Operations, Product, Compliance, and/or Engineering teams preferred 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $96,750 - $107,500. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
