The Role

Reporting into the Principal, Operations & Strategy, you’ll have a breadth of responsibility and will collaborate with colleagues in a range of positions across the organisation. Each day in this role is different; in addition to adapting to constantly changing priorities, you’ll also deliver against a core set of critical tasks:

  • Structure and drive projects in a standalone capacity balancing scope, speed and quality.
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to generate digestible and actionable reports.
  • Provide proactive support to the Principal, Operations & Strategy.
  • Maintain up-to-date dashboards of ongoing activities and meticulously track their status.
  • Update the CEO, Principal and other stakeholders on a timely basis.
  • Enhance tools and systems to help streamline the Office and DeepMind more broadly.
  • Anticipate strategic and operational issues before they arise and resolve them.
  • Juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment.

About You

In order to set you up for success at Google DeepMind,  we look for the following skills and experience:

  • Technical Degree in engineering, or equivalent.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience within an in-house environment Artificial Intelligence organisation.
  • Adept at distilling significant data and communicating to different stakeholders.
  • Able to balance driving multiple projects often with a strong technical focus.
  • Reliable, responsive and resilient to ever-changing and ambiguous objectives.
  • Comfortable devising strategic initiatives and operationalising tactical projects.
  • Skilled communicating verbally, in writing and via presentation.
  • Able to deal tactfully, calmly and effectively with a diverse array of individuals.
  • Keenly aware of what needs doing and eager to make it happen, however big or small.
  • Self-aware and constantly seeking opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Open to receiving and providing feedback in an honest and considerate manner .
  • Fulfilled in seeing the individuals and team that you support succeed.
  • Professional, loyal and discreet as a direct representative of the CEO and of DeepMind.
  • Excited about making a long-term commitment and contribution to the DeepMind team.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $106,000 - $162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
