Audio Visual Technician | Corporate
As an Audio Visual Technician, you will work primarily to support all audio needs for our campus buildings and meeting groups. The ideal candidate will have a coachable attitude and be technically proficient with audio mixing, studio or audio engineering, mic assistance and troubleshooting technical problems. Any experience with video production work is a plus. Additionally, this person may help with the overall maintenance of our video conferencing equipment, audio/visual needs, card access, lighting systems, modulated TV systems and lots of other “blinking lights” which we need to preserve our “work hard/play hard” environment.

You will be part of a small team of people who support each other and provide backup to keep things running smoothly. You will assist and be involved in a variety of special events while also supporting the more routine day-to-day activities. Flexibility is a key component and being comfortable with working as a team or on your own is a must.This is a first shift position (approx. 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM) in office on a hybrid schedule each week Monday-Thursday at our South Charlotte Campus. Some additional nights/weekends will be required for events.
What You'll Do
Report to our Senior Technology Support Specialist to assist them in their duties which includes, but is not limited to:
- Execute all aspects of our live event productions which includes
- Midas M32 LIVE Audio Console
- Black Magic Camera Switcher
- Road Hog Lighting Console
- Instant Replay 360 Systems Digital Playback
- Virtual Production Studios such as OBS or Ecamm Live
- Setting and Striking Production Cameras
- Record and edit audio files for use in live production, podcasts and pre-recorded video
- Run audio and video cabling and patching
- Run audio/video signal routing
- Apply various types of microphones onto speakers
- Maintain and repair audio systems in our “Curve Learning Center”
- Other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Basic understanding of audio and video signal flow
- Basic understanding of Crestron Systems
- Knowledge of Zoom Video Conferencing systems
- Ability to do physical labor (lifting speakers, moving stage, lifting furniture, carrying cameras, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and ability to quickly put new skills into action
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to prioritize work effectively
- Be a self-starter with a team-focused, positive attitude and an attention to detail
Compensation
- Cash Compensation Range: $45,000- $55,000*Note actual salary is based on qualifications and experience.
