AVIONICS DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN (FALCON)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build test systems, electromechanical assemblies, engineering enclosures, and test fixtures
  • Design and build electrical harnessing to be used in acceptance test and qualification of flight avionics
  • Perform rework on PCBAs
  • Design and document test systems and wiring diagrams based on engineer selected test equipment
  • Interpret design intent and provide feedback to engineering to complete documentation
  • Self-monitor work progress against area benchmarks and achieve on-time delivery of all work
  • Assist with the development of production processes for first time production run

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 4+ years of experience manufacturing wire harnesses or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience using electronics equipment (e.g. DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power supplies, DAQs, etc.)
  • Associate’s degree
  • Experience debugging root causing failures on printed circuit boards    
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment working with flight hardware
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy
  • Experience with PCBA soldering including soldering down to 0402 packages and high-density ICs, jumper install, and dead bugging
  • Experience manufacturing and troubleshooting complicated test systems
  • Experience with Atlassian tools including SVN, Confluence, and JIRA
  • Basic knowledge of electronics theory and principles
  • NASA STD 8739.4, IPC-620, and J-STD-001 qualifications
  • Project management skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed. Estimated start time: 1st shift (5am)
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to distinguish colors is required

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range:    

Avionics Development Technician/Level 1: $23.00 - $31.00/hour        Avionics Development Technician/Level 2: $28.00 - $37.00/hour        Avionics Development Technician/Level 3: $33.00 - $43.00/hour        

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
