As our next Backend Developer, you will help us create, improve, maintain and strengthen our backend system and infrastructure, in order to support our vision of promoting sustainable tourism around the world. You will be an active member of a fun cross-functional team, responsible for developing and maintaining features based on our customers needs.

Note: This is a fully remote position. We have team members in Colombia, Argentina, Norway and Switzerland. Join our international team

Important: The start date is January 1, 2024.

• Craft, maintain, and enhance API services with JavaScript/Typescript and NodeJS.
• Create optimized GraphQL or raw SQL queries to integrate business logic in code.
• Integrate external APIs to our backend system.
• Support the infrastructure team to craft and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to design robust and reliable tech solutions. 
• Work with GIT flow to publish your changes according to our Agile project management.

• 2+ years of expertise in crafting server-side applications with Node.js. 
• 2+ years managing and optimizing SQL databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• 1+ year of familiarity with DevOps tools such as Git, Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• At least 70% in conversational English.
• Great communication and organization skills
• Hands on attitude.
• Great team work skills. 

• Experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., GCP/AWS), Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• GraphQL.
• Hasura GraphQL Engine.
• Nest.js.
