BD Leader, Strategic and Industry
The Product Partnerships team is focused on building a vibrant, Modern Data and AI Stack platform ecosystem. With hundreds of ISV partners, our ecosystem is large, and we’re just getting started. The ideal candidate will have a strong business development and technical background along with a track record of building and growing technology partnerships and new marketplace ecosystems.
They will also have experiences specific to Strategic and Industry Partnerships including
- Experience landing and building strategic partnerships: engaging with the largest and most leading-edge software companies to define and launch ambitious and custom partnerships that span technical, go-to-market, and commercial terms. And then leading the build-out of these partnerships over multiple years.
- Experience doing the above in selected industry verticals such as FS, HCLS, and CPG.
- Experience defining these industry categories and the priority partners to recruit, land, and grow.
Outcomes in the first 12 months
- Several new strategic partnerships announced and launched
- Demonstrable progress on our existing strategic partnerships
- Industry category strategy developed and have begun landing for select verticals
Competencies
- Strong empathy and expertise for customers and developers. We will look for a proven track record of building successful partnerships. Someone who moves the needle in those relationships, rather than “minding the shop”
- Prior experience working and building similar ecosystems is required (15+ years), including an understanding of their development cycle, sales cycles and GTM motion
- General Management. Has been responsible for owning and delivering on aggressive metrics and results
Innovation in a fast moving environment. Has a track record of developing and shipping and growing net new products and software businesses
- Partnership with leads across functions - Eng, PM, Sales, marketing - can push, pull, negotiate and influence but maintains team cohesion
- Clear verbal and written communication skills and a strong evangelist skill set (speaking, presentations and content)
- A technical background (e.g, Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering, or early professional experience in a technical role)
Knowledge of the Data & AI software ecosystem and cloud technologies is a strong plus
