The Business Operations Associate Manager Opportunity

Okta is looking for a Benefits Operations Manager to help us scale our global benefits processes. You will be a key member of the People Operations team focused on delivering an exceptional employee experience and driving efficiencies across the People Operations & Benefits teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with great customer service skills and broad knowledge of global employee benefits programs & processes. What you’ll be doing 
  • Drive operational success. Develop and execute work-backwards plans for key strategic deliverables such as Open Enrollment and new benefit offerings in entities that Okta implements to ensure they are completed on time to high quality standards.
  • Data integrity. Collaborate with partner teams to develop and maintain reporting dashboards for the organization, synthesizing the needs of our Benefits COE,, security
  • Scale for growth. Own programs and strategic partnerships to move our processes from scrappy solutions to stable ones in support of growing scale and complexity within the organization.
  • Simplify processes. Streamline our benefit processes to drive efficiency 
  • Enable smart decision making. Drive consistency in operational metrics across the HR
  • Display high judgment. Use judgment when dealing with employee issues
  • Influence others. Partner with peer organizations to ensure tight alignment, facilitate the sharing (and proliferation) of information of best-known practices, and drive synchronization and collaboration in connection with shared goals and deliverables.
  • Lead a team of Tier 1 support for benefits 
  • Answer escalated benefits inquiries and requests through our case management platform, ServiceNow, while appropriately escalating complex cases to the global benefits COE
  • Support leave of absence inquiries/requests and provide administrative support to the global benefits team
  • Support new hire benefits enrollment processes in the US & globally 
  • Utilize Workday & ServiceNow data to identify benefits inquiry trends and operational weaknesses. Translate trends into action plans with the goal of improving employee experience & self-service
  • Document benefits operations processes and determine which processes can be managed by our offshore Manila team    
  • Partner with the benefits team to understand upcoming policy and program changes
  • Maintain and update benefits Total Rewards site and related wiki pages 
  • Support benefits audits as needed

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 6+ years experience in benefits administration
  • Knowledge of global employee benefits, leave management & payroll programs
  • Previous experience working in Workday & ServiceNow is highly desired
  • Experience working in a high-speed, global technology company preferred
  • Previous experience in remotely onboarding and working remotely is highly preferred
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, take initiative and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Outstanding customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and must gravitate easily to new technology
  • Experience with using vlookup, pivot table functions in Excel

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$86,000—$143,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $106,000—$160,000 USD
