The Bid Manager will be a key member of the LUS Enterprise Business Intelligence & Bid Management (BIBM) Team. This team plays a critical role in the early stages of the sales process by analyzing the market, identifying key upcoming opportunities, and spearheading strategic efforts with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for and deliver winning bids and drive existing customer growth. Within the BIBM team, the Bid Manager is primarily responsible for leading the end-to-end bid lifecycle, from pre-bid activities to the final submission of comprehensive and winning proposals.

Responsibilities:
  • Craft winning proposals that describe how Lyft’s micromobility and microtransit offerings can help expand the reach of public transit networks.
  • Develop, and continuously optimize pre-bid and bid processes to maximize win rates and scalability.
  • Execute the pre-bid workstream to develop comprehensive RFI response strategies, lead customer interviews, and ensure clear communication and information flow across all team members.
  • Coordinate the cross-functional team through the bid submission workstream to develop and execute robust bid strategies, detailed work plans and finalize all written deliverables required for a winning bid submission.
  • Proactively identify and manage key business risks for each bid opportunity and lead internal approvals for any mitigation plans
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, External Affairs, Product, Supply Chain, and Finance to drive alignment and successful bid outcomes.
  • Engage with external clients and stakeholders to gather insights crucial for bid development.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in bid management, business development, or a related field with a strong focus on B2G sales and public procurement.
  • Track record of successfully managing complex bids by collaborating with a cross-functional team.
  • Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions in public tender.
  • Ability to create thoughtful, actionable recommendations, and quickly build consensus with cross-functional stakeholders, including those with seniority.
  • Prior experience with public procurements (B2G Sales).
  • Strong understanding and interest in the global bikeshare competitive landscape is preferred.
  • Academic and/or work history in city planning, public transportation or public policy, preferred.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to pace a project and deliver to a deadline. 
  • Expert in the Google Suite, specifically Docs, Slides & Sheets.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in French and English (for interacting with English-speaking colleagues and clients outside of Quebec).

This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office at least 3 days per week, including on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The expected base pay range for this position in the Montreal area is CAD $ 94,504 - CAD $118,130. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
