We’re looking for a Big Data Engineer to develop and integrate systems that retrieve, process and analyze data from around the digital world, generating customer-facing data.

As a data engineer, you will work at the very core of the company, designing and implementing complex high scale systems to retrieve and analyze data from millions of digital users.

Your role as a server-side developer will give you the opportunity to use cutting-edge technologies to solve complex technical problems. 

 

So, what will you be doing all day?

Your role as part of the R&D teammeans your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and developing data pipelines for our solutions according to product requirements, from POC to production.
  • Contributing to and improving the infrastructure of the data pipelines of our solutions.
  • Improving the performance of existing services by exploring new big-data technologies and Machine Learning algorithms at scale.
  • Cooperating with data scientists, analysts, and product managers in a heterogeneous team, solving complex research challenges and implementing the solutions in accordance with the product definition.

    This is the perfect job for someone who:

  • Passionate about data.
  • Holds at least BSc degree in Computer Science, a related technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Has at least 3 years of server-side software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages.
  • Has at least 2 years of experience working with big data technologies, such as Spark, Hadoop MapReduce, preferably on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Is proficient in one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as Python, Java, Scala.
  • Is comfortable taking on challenges and learning new technologies, including new coding languages, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to provide constant dialog between the stakeholders of a project.
  • Can easily prioritize tasks and to work independently.
  • Conveys a strong sense of ownership and responsibility over the products of the team.
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Solid experience in machine learning algorithms and data research. - Nice to have.
