Billing & Collections Specialist

We are looking for a Billing & Collections Specialist to join our Finance team!
So, what will you be doing all day?
- Ensure that transactions are being prepared according to finance policies and approval standards are being met per set requirements
- Responsible for verifying and processing daily invoices
- Be the focal point for addressing billing inquiries and activities for customers and provisioning permissions, sales, and support
- Process internal requests for address changes, billing account changes, rate changes, account termination, account activation, recurring billing inquiries etc.
- Follow up and engage with customers on outstanding payments and resolve any issues causing payment delays
- Support the collection activities through special billing requirements and billing reconciliation issues as well as supplying customer documentation
- Work with the bookkeeping and accounting team to ensure accurate cash application is done in a timely manner and resolve unrecognized payments
- Contribute to the team’s mission to improve data flows, optimizing our processes, and ensuring accounting output is accurate
This is the perfect job for someone who has:
- Completed a degree in finance/economics/business management preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- 2 years of experience in Accounts receivable, Collections or Billing specialist
- Ability to follow directions, meet strict deadlines, and work independently
- Thrive on high intensity work environment and with a large customer portfolio
- Systems: Salesforce, Netsuite, Zuora (Billing) and AR Management tools - a plus

The base salary range for this position in New York City is $56,480 to $94,710 + benefits including: medical, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, potential equity, employee stock purchase plan and paid sick and parental leave.
Individual compensation is based upon a number of factors, including qualifications and relevant experience.
The base salary range above is for the New York City metro area, and could vary for candidates in other locations.
