Overview:

The Billing Specialist will report to the Billing Manager and working hours will be 2:00 pm - 11:00 pm IST.

You will: 

  • Be part of the billing operations team and ensure timely completion of customer invoice processing, generating and sending invoices and/or credit & debit notes to customers, and customer billing queries and resolutions. 
  • Work with cross-functional departments, including sales, finance, and accounting teams, to ensure timely and accurate revenue and cost booking.
  • Processing and issuing accurate customer invoices of all required types, and validating pricing and taxes.
  • Manual adjustment: Issue create and debit notes for manual adjustments.
  • Works closely with the order team and processes outstanding orders to clear backlogs from the backlog report.
  • To follow up with the credit and collection teams to validate and remove eligible order blocks that are preventing billing activity. Work on disputes on invoices and rectify them.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc audits; maintain updated, accurate records.
  • Month-end close reporting, reconciliation, and clearing duties. SOX audit exp preferred.
  • At month-end, ensure all the billing activities have been completed accurately and timely.
  • Own the billing process and proactively participate in process improvement projects and discussions.
  • CSAT—Ensure all CSAT issues are monitored, deliver timely service to all customers, and achieve all SLAs.
  • Manage billing BOT, ensuring all client requests received are handled on time.
  • Process minor changes to client accounts with direction from the billing and/or collections team.

You have:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience and Commerce / Management graduate or equivalent
  • ERP – SAP end-user knowledge
  • Systems – Zuora, SFDC, RevPro (Preferably)
  • Proficient in MS Office, Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, etc.) and databases
  • Experience with business systems like Zuora and Salesforce – a huge bonus
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Knowledge of billing procedures
  • Strong critical thinking and analysis skills are required to develop solutions to problems and identify and propose alternatives
  • Flexibility to work in shifts
  • Independently determines/develops solution approach; Self-motivated and action-oriented; hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” mentality required
  • Strong work ethic, results-driven, and commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving company and department goals
  • Ability to accomplish all responsibilities in a fast-paced, growing, and demanding environment
