The Studio team at Okta is a growing group within Marketing, composed of creatives, strategists, producers and marketing managers alike. Our team’s focus is to lead the brand, tell powerful stories and inspire creative excellence. 

As a partner to cross-functional teams across all of Okta, we tie our goals to our most important company initiatives, driving towards shared KPIs, strategies and processes to unify and push the brand and business forward.

 

About this role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Brand team as a Brand manager. This role will be pivotal in ensuring seamless execution of our brand strategy across key marketing programs - with a hyper focus on our global brand awareness campaigns and related activations. This person is critical to help drive brand consistency in the strategy alongside our Brand Leads, while helping to manage the internal executive stakeholders, cross-functional teams and external partners in the execution.

This person will be the glue to guarantee that our brand strategy and messaging make their way from the highest level of external awareness activations into our internal ecosystem. 

 

What you will do

  • Help to own the strategy and execution of our brand awareness campaigns and related programs, acting as a bridge between internal teams and executive stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on objectives and execution.
  • Work closely with our key agency partners to execute on the brand campaign activations, including working with our media agency to develop and execute effective media plans, ensuring maximum exposure and ROI for our brand.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams across Marketing to ensure alignment and integration of brand strategy and messaging within Tier 1 marketing initiatives; help to connect the dots between our media placements and tier 1 events, ensuring consistency and synergy in messaging and branding across both channels.
  • Partner with the media agency to conduct site visits globally to assess the placement of advertisements, ensuring strategic positioning in target markets and maximizing visibility
  • Partner with the media agency, Brand Leads, and Analytics team to monitor and analyze the performance of key brand marketing initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for optimization and future planning.
  • Provide brand governance with Workplace Services/Real Estate and Business Technology to ensure Okta branding is consistent and executed well across all touchpoints,
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to identify areas for improvement and implement processes to enhance efficiency in brand operations.

 

What experience you have

  • 4+ working as a Brand Manager (or comparable experience) in B2B tech or tech generally
  • Proven experience building and delivering on integrated brand programs, awareness campaigns and managing brand tools, processes, and assets.
  • Proven ability to think strategically while delivering against tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) globally for site visits and business meetings as required.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in event management or sponsorship coordination; Knowledge of digital marketing channels and platforms; Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$123,000—$185,000 USD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $138,000—$206,000 USD
